OVERVIEW

Greg Jones brings over 20 years of clinical nursing experience to Fortis. He manages the company's medical-legal consulting activities and is responsible for overseeing all client casework. Additionally, Greg is a nurse expert witness for both plaintiff and defense cases.

Greg is a dynamic and results-driven professional with a highly successful background in emergency/trauma nursing, management, crisis intervention, and legal nurse consulting. Steadfast and dedicated to consistently exceeding demanding targets and business objectives while remaining focused on providing an exceptional standard of care. He possesses excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with innate ability to influence decisions while fostering positive internal and external relationships.  Greg is a published author and public speaker. He was the first male RN to become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner in Indiana and quickly earned notoriety as an outstanding expert within the courtroom.Education

Education

After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, Greg was educated at Purdue University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He has a master’s degree from Northwestern University in Theological Studies. During nursing school and throughout his career, Mr. Jones received multiple awards for clinical expertise and academic excellence including being named one of the first Outstanding Nurse of Year by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine. In 2015, he enrolled at the Brighton College Paralegal Institute and completed the course work in 2018. He is a proud member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and is a Board-Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

Experience

Believing that professionals are life-long learners, Greg has coupled his 19 years of Trauma/Emergency nursing with experience working in PACU, ICU, Open Heart Recovery, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, and Telemetry. He has served as an associate professor at Century/Inver-Hill College and is currently employed with the VA system as a Primary Care RN Consultant ensuring that all standards of care and quality measures are meeting expectations throughout the entire Primary Care area (e.g. ED, Tele, Mental Health, Women’s Clinic, Primary Care Clinics, Dialysis, etc.).
